This is the third post in the series for www.hangoutnigeria.com on things to do with kids in Nigeria. I’m excited to share this one with you because we love it! Like the Nike Art Gallery, I kept seeing the sign for Dreamland Africana and decided to check it out. We loved it and have been back several time. For some reason, it is always empty when we go which is sad because the facilities are quite nice. I hope you’ll check it out! Location: 14 Dreamworld Africana Way, KM 20, Lekki-Ajah Expressway, Lekki, Lagos. Nigeria. It’s on the same road as Orchid hotel right after the 2nd lekki-epe toll gate. Coming from the chevron roundabout and going towards Ajah, you take the first right and follow the road towards Orchid hotel, it’s on your right.  The road used to be quite bad but was recently fixed. Age: crawling and above Children as young as 9 months would find something to enjoy. Hours:

  • Tuesdays – Fridays 10:30am – 7:00pm
  • Saturday and Public Holidays 9:30am – 8:00pm
  • Sundays: 12:30 – 8:00pm

Note that it is not open on Mondays! Entry Fees: See all rates here It’s N200 to enter on weekdays and N300 on Weekends. The attractions range from N200 to N400. I found all of them to be affordable. Facilities: This place is an amusement park in progress. There are several rides, a carousel, a roller coaster, and bumper cars

Our experience: The first time we went, we almost turned around because it looked quite abandoned but since we were there already, we decided to go in and check it out. I’m glad we did! Every time we’ve gone, we’ve been the only ones there and have really enjoyed the facilities. My son is 15 months old and so is unable to enjoy the rides and bumper cars. Most of our time is spent in the indoor and outdoor play areas. We also recently tried the carousel. I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

It is the same every time. He also loves dancing to the music that’s playing in the concession area. We love it cause he usually crashes as soon as we get home so its a win win. I would highly recommend this place as both a fun hangout spot for the entire family. I give it 5 hangout Nigeria stars. because we love it as a family and there is something for everyone to enjoy. I love that they have toddler sized equipment so even the really young child can enjoy it, even the carousel has small sized horses. Like I mentioned earlier, we’ve hardly seen anyone else there during our visits. It’s either we always go at off-peak times or people don’t know about this place.  I hope you will check it out this weekend and tell me what you think! Is this venue still up and running?

Yes it is. We were just there yesterday so the coincidence of your comment was funny. They have made and are continuing to make a lot of improvements. There’s a lot of construction going on but I still recommend it. My boys really enjoyed it and we’ll probably be back again soon
